Photography Seminars

We're delighted to announce a series of fantastic talks and live demonstrations from professional photographers and brand experts, including David Noton, Ross Grieve, Angela Nicholson, Jay McLaughlin, Jeremy Martin, Rob Pugh, Andy Astbury and Jakob Gronkjaer, where they will give you an insight into their photography and share stories, advice and tips to inspire you.

GFX 50S one-to-one session

Fujifilm X-Photographer Damien Lovegrove is offering a very limited number of people the chance to take part in a unique, one-to-one GFX 50S studio session and experience the raw power of the GFX’s 51.4 MP medium format sensor first hand. This is an unmissable opportunity for anyone considering buying into Fujifilm’s GFX system to learn from one of the best photographers and educators in the business.

Photo walks

In addition to the photography seminars, CameraWorld LIVE will have several photo walks available for you to join. There are a limited number of places on each walk so make sure you book your tickets in advance. We would recommend bringing your own camera with you, however many of the walks will have cameras available for you to use for the duration of the walk.

Canon sensor cleaning

Canon will be offering a professional sensor cleaning service to Canon camera owners on their stand at CameraWorld LIVE. This service would normally cost £60 but we have secured a special show price of just £10. And if that wasn't enough, when you collect your camera after cleaning, you'll be given a £10 voucher to spend against any Canon purchase at the show.

 

On the stands at CameraWorld LIVE

CameraWorld LIVE will be one of the most exciting, inspiring and interesting camera shows of 2017. Our exhibitors are a major part of this, so we thought we’d give you a breakdown of just some of the activity and products you can expect to see at the show.

But first and foremost are our Famous Show Deals. The CameraWorld stand will be offering hundreds of frankly unmissable deals on products from all of our exhibitors. We will also have our usual dedicated Trade-in area where you can bring all of your old and unwanted camera equipment and we’ll give you an on the spot valuation and take it off your hands. Finally, the CameraWorld Car Boot Sale is the ideal place to get your hands on some unbelievable bargains. Now, onto the exhibitors.

Fujifilm will be showing off their brand new XF 80mm Macro lens, not on-sale until November, and the recently released X-E3 will available for you to try. You’ll also be able to try the X Pro2 and X-T2 as well as the entire range of XF lenses and, of course, the mighty GFX 50S. Fujifilm is also running a series of photo walks throughout the day with street photographer Matt Hart (book fast as they are filling up quickly) and a very limited number of one-to-one portrait sessions with X-Photographer Damien Lovegrove - click here to book your session.

Canon is offering a professional sensor cleaning service on their stand for all Canon camera owners. This is a pre-booked service only - book your camera in here. On the Sony stand, ambassador Robert Pugh will be giving three live demonstrations, at 11am, 1pm & 3pm, which will also be shown on the CameraWorld LIVE big screen. Robert will be using flash to create some dynamic portraits of Matti Hemmings, a professional Flatland BMX rider and World Record Holder, and breakdancer Roxanne - not to be missed. Panasonic will be showcasing the GH5 and its new Version 2 firmware, that has improved the autofocus and added increased bit rate to 400Mbps. Lumix Ambassador, and UK Pet Photographer of the Year, Ross Grieve will be on the stand throughout the day to answer any questions you may have (when he’s not giving his ‘Big pictures, Small cameras’ talk - book your ticket here) and extolling the virtues of 4K and 6K photography.

Olympus ambassador and fashion photographer Jay McLaughlin will be on the Olympus stand demonstrating the Olympus OM-D E-M1 MK II and Pro lenses with a series of portrait shoots. Jay will also be giving a talk on his experiences of shooting fashion with Olympus cameras - book tickets here. The new OM-D E-M10 MK III will also be available for you to try on the day.

Nikon will be taking to the main stage to demonstrate the brand new D850 and will have samples on their stand for you to try - a must visit for Nikon shooters.

Photographers at the show will be able to to get their hands on the much-anticipated Tamron 18-400mm superzoom and the 24-70mm G2 lenses for the very first time. Tamron brand manager, and travel photographer, Jeremy Martin will be presenting an image-led talk about these lenses and more in the seminar room - find ticket details here. Alongside Tamron will be Samyang lenses, who will debut their new AF 35mm FE E-mount lens at the show.

Irix will be showing their 15mm F/2.4 and 11mm F/4 Ultra Wide Angle Lenses. They will be ably supported by professional Wildlife and Astro-photographer Andy Astbury, who will also be presenting an Astrophotography talk in the seminar room - ticket information here.

Lighting makers Interfit will have a full range of lighting and accessories on their stand and will be introducing their new studio flash, the Honey Badger 320w. Interfit Ambassador Jakob Gronkjaer will be presenting a workshop on how to get Perfect Studio Lighting using the Honey Badger 320w - ticket information can be found here.

Staying with lighting, Phottix brand manager, and professional photographer, Tom Clunn will be leading two photo walks to demonstrate using off-camera flash in an outdoor situation with the latest Phottix products. Alongside Phottix, will be bag makers Tenba and Benro. Benro also produces a range of tripods which will be exhibited alongside the colourful MeFOTO tripod range.

Tripod maker 3 Legged Thing will have their new tripod - Billy - available to test, alongside other tripods from their range. They will also be showcasing their universal L-Bracket.

Rode will have their full range of on-camera and lapel mics set up on their stand, with headphones attached ready to be tested on the spot.

Bag maker Billingham is bringing a wide selection of camera bags, including the recently released Hadley One, as well as a yet to be released (at time of writing) new bag.

Battery maker Ansmann will have a full selection of camera and flash batteries, as well as a wide range of chargers and a new for 2017 Torch range.

Moving on to post-production now, BenQ will be demonstrating some of their latest colour critical professional monitors. However, a monitor is only as good as its calibration which is where X-Rite come in. They will have a wide range of colour management solutions on display for you to investigate. And finally, printing. Epson will be demonstrating two key professional quality printers - the P600 & P800 - and will be showing off the quality with Live printing on the stand.
